I found this class really helpful. To be honest I love looking for new and exciting technology and ways to use it so being assigned to do so made me happy. I will admit that I am even more frightened of how well I will handle using technology effectively in my classroom. There are times when technology will help me to do my job better and I will use it as part of my methodology and there are times when letting the students use it will enhance their learning experience. Finding the balance between them will be challenging.
I found the TIP Model and T-Pack really helpful because they provide a step by step framework for how I should look at new tech, when I should use it, and what pitfalls to avoid. I know now that I need to ask myself several questions before I choose to incorporate tech into my lesson plans, the first being "Will this increase my students learning?"
